International LGBTIQ conference for South Asians

International LGBTIQ conference for South Asians

We write to invite your members, friends and allies to submit presentation proposals for DesiQ 2013 – the only international conference for LGBTQI South Asians and our allies in the world.

The 4th conference of its kind, DesiQ 2013 will be a time for our community to reflect on our achievements and challenges, draw strength and inspiration from each other, and empower our movement in the future. The conference will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area in July 2013. Further details will follow.

Like the last three conferences, we hope DesiQ 2013 will feature the work, ideas and passion of South Asian LGBTQI leaders, artists, activists, community organizers, writers, poets and policy-makers from across the globe. Towards that aim, we hope to provide funding for travel and other expenses to selected presenters — we will provide details on how to apply for funding soon. We will also try our best to provide lodging for visitors. Again, details to follow.
The Requests for Proposals for programming and arts presentations can be completed online through the links provided below.

NOTE: ARTISTS – please complete the separate Arts RFP.
